Air Passenger Rights (APR) founder and president, Dr. Gábor Lukács, has agreed to provide advisory services to Settled Technologies Inc. (Settled). Dr. Lukács is doing so in his individual capacity, not on behalf of APR.
Settled is developing technology intended to make resolving consumer disputes more efficient. Its first product, TripFix.ca, focuses on air passenger compensation for flight disruptions.
To ensure clarity and avoid misunderstandings, Dr. Lukács and Settled have agreed that:
- This advisory role does not constitute endorsement of Settled or TripFix.ca by APR.
- The advisory relationship does not create any conflict of interest or confidentiality concerns.
- Dr. Lukács will not share any passenger information or APR confidential information with Settled.
- Dr. Lukács remains fully free to take positions, pursue legal action, and assist passengers and/or legal professionals in matters involving airlines, irrespective of whether the claims are submitted through TripFix.ca.
- Dr. Lukács remains free to publicly comment on airlines, regulators, and the air travel industry without restriction.
Dr. Lukács’s involvement is based on a shared belief that technology can reduce unnecessary barriers and friction in dispute resolution, making it easier for people to enforce their rights.
